In the third day of the festival, Open Solving 2008 started in the morning session. 36 participations were supposed to solve 12 problems within 3 hours in the two parts of 90 minutes.
In the afterloon, tournament continued with Open Quick Solving in which solvers were supposed to solve mate in 2 for 30 problems, 1 minute for each.
The day ended with lectures that contained "My Allumwandlung in Selfmates" by Andrey Selivanov, "Helpmates of the future with three pairs of solutions" by Michal Dragoun and "About the Codex of Chess Composition" by Yakov Vladimirov.
